Fork in the lake

This a photo we took in Vevey, Lac Leman, Switzerland. A strange sculpture in the shallow part of the lake. This giant fork sculpture was created by Jean-Pierre Zaugg and Georges Favre in 1995. They are both Swiss artists. From here, if you turn around you will see the food museum, the Alimentarium.

Tea and Sangria – Indie film

If you get a chance and you want to see a great little independent film then pay to see Tea and Sangria. It is a film by Peter Domankiewicz who has put his life, soul and most of his money into making and getting it distributed. He and the cast all deserve success with this wonderful romcom. It is the story of David who moves to Madrid to live with his Spanish girlfriend but not everything goes to plan. Search for it on Twitter and Facebook as well as looking at the reviews.

Now If I Was A Betting Man

Fortunately for me I’m not. It looks very enticing at times in that somebody has to win but invariably there has to be a lot of losers as well for there to be a big winner. My partner took this photo of some very good street art in the East End of London. brokeLads East London Street Art It is a very detailed piece of work and is a play on a well known chain of betting shops in the UK. Space Invaders – Hiding out on a rooftop near you

Just next to the Lausanne Cathedral in Switzerland and looking down on the rooftops we could see this space invader. It could be the work of the artist Invader but I haven’t checked. "Space invador", The invaders, Space invader, Lausanne, Switzerland 04711 It is a great location. Copyright Paul Andrews and Caroline Schmutz, http://www.junagarhmedia.co.uk.

Bus Station Art – Spare Parts from old Buses Coro Venezuela

I’m sure that if you welded together a load of scrap iron and then painted it in the UK or some other countries and displayed it somewhere that you would get paid a fortune for what your average trainee welder probably gets paid a pittance for. Yes, I know I’m very cynical. Maybe in Coro, Venezuela where this photo "Bus Station Art", Coro, Venezuela was taken the person or persons who created this wonderful piece of work were too or maybe they were just paid for doing a decent day’s work like the rest of us. Art is for everyone isn’t it? We did think however that at the time there was very little difference between the buses running and the ones hanging on the wall. On one bus we experienced a dramatic bang from some suspension component failing. The trouble was that the used part that they replaced it with didn’t look all that different from the component being removed. But that’s how a lot of the world still works.
