A photo of a shop window from a previous year’s Christmas promotion with soft toys set in a winter’s scene. At night time especially the effect is very good. Copyright Junagarh Media, http://www.junagarhmedia.co.uk.

Christmas Fun Fair – A Merry Go Round in Central London
Despite the lack of snow at Christmas, London has many attractions. Leicester Square is quite a small space but there is still enough for a winter event. This photo was from 2007. There is usually something for all of the family like this carousel. Copyright Junagarh Media, http://www.junagarhmedia.co.uk.
Christmas Eve – so spare a thought at least for other human beings
So here we are gearing up for another Christmas Eve. So let’s spare a thought for all those humans who will still sleep rough tonight and all those caught up in wars and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Let’s not forget about all those who don’t have access to clean water or to proper toilets and sewage systems. The many that lack adequate housing, heating, lighting, education and medical services. And those that don’t have enough or proper food to eat. If you read blogs you are unlikely to be one of them, if you have bought presents made in a number of countries you have probably bought something made by one of them. So think long and hard about the 25th of December, even if you aren’t a Christian, it is still a religious day not a day of capitalism. We must demand fair wages for those who make our goods. GLOBAL MINIMUM WAGE and GLOBAL SAFE WORKING PRACTICES NOW.
Street Art – Seasonal spoiler Santa Fe Argentina
I took this photo just after Christmas on a very hot sunny day walking along the promenade of the River Parana in the city of Santa Fe in Argentina. The stencil artist created this piece telling children that Father Christmas does not exist. As the promenade is very popular with families I wonder how many children asked their parents if it was true. Copyright Junagarh Media, http://www.junagrhmedia.co.uk .
Christmas themed advertising
I took this photo at this time of year a few years back. It was a very simple advertising hoarding for a major corporate and somebody had very subtly altered it. If you look at it though in some ways the alteration is wrong in that shouldn’t it be the baby that is seen as a source of dollars for Fisher-Price?
