Going Away – a bright clear day on the lake

Another photo of what started out as a beautiful clear winter’s day on Lac Leman in Switzerland. Here, one of the passenger ferries that ply the lake was underway to its next port of call. You can see more of our photography on our website, Junagarh Media.

Paris in the Springtime – Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris In the Pink

Paris is a small and beautiful city with its narrow streets and wonderful sites and experiences. It is especially so in the Springtime as seen here when we visited the cathedral of Notre Dame when all the blossom was on the trees. Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris In the Pink So when are you going? Morges Waterfront and Harbour

Switzerland, if you have never visited it, is a very beautiful country, you could say a photogenic country. It is very easy to take pictures of lovely vistas. This is a photo that I took one sunny morning looking out over the water of the very calm Lac Leman. Morges Waterfront and Harbour Morges is one of many, almost sleepy little towns nestled beside the lake. Try it, you will like it. Les invisibles sont invincibles

A photo of some simple but perhaps prophetic graffiti from a wall near the centre of Lausanne in Switzerland. Cool Cuban Cat – Sancti Spiritus Cuba

This cat was not phased by the people coming and going into this building which I think was one of the new shops being operated in the city of Sancti Spiritus in Cuba. SONY DSC Truly a cool cat. Copyright Paul Andrews and Caroline Schmutz, http://www.junagarhmedia.co.uk

The Old Kings Head

I haven’t had the pleasure of going for a drink in this pub although I should have by now. It does look fairly traditional East End boozer. The outside is amazing. Check out these superb green tiles. 1950’s Red Pontiac Outside the Casa of Beny and Roberto Santa Clara Cuba

Beny and Roberto run an excellent casa in the city of Santa Clara in Cuba and they own a very old red Pontiac. Red 1950's Pontiac Outside the Casa of Beny and Roberto Santa Clara Cuba If you are visiting Cuba staying in a casa is the best way of meeting the real Cuban people. Versailles France Putting Nature Straight

Versailles is an amazing place and must have been such a financial drain on France until the French people decided to take matters into their own hands and the rest is history as they say. And Versailles is certainly history on the grandest of scales as can be seen here in the photo of one of walks by the lake or Grand Canal as it is known. Straight Lines of Versailles Nature has been tamed and made to grow how the designer wanted it to grow. And all this on a perfect spring day. Hotel de Nesle, 7 Rue de Nesle St-Germain Paris

If you want to stay in a great little hotel in Paris that is a just a little different then try Hotel de Nesle. It’s a little bizarre but really wonderful and is still family owned. It’s not for those who like their magnolia walled bland boxes as you can see from the photos. Paris, what a fabulous city. SONY DSC We stayed in this hotel in 2014 and 2015 and will certainly go back the next time we go to Paris. It just oozes character. Book it direct though because if you do it through the internet they loose a huge 17%! SONY DSC SONY DSC Copyright Paul Andrews and Caroline Schmutz, Junagarh Media, http://www.junagarhmedia.co.uk
