Ban private cars from our city centres

Our cities our polluted, we are all being harmed by the people driving into them in their four wheel drives and Audi/BMW/VW etc etc etc. So no more private cars should be allowed, only buses, taxis, short term rental cars, bicycles, scooters, motorcycles and maybe even these could be like renting the Boris bikes. It would be better for our health and our journey times would be reduced. The Twizy

Climate change is here, are you still willing to gamble?

You can bend statistics whichever way you like but at sometime in your life and it won’t be long now you will be affected by climate change depending on where you live and how old you are. You can run but you can’t hide. Life may look good to you at the moment with that new car or A/C unit but there will be a price to pay and you won’t be able to afford it no matter how many Euros, Yen, Pounds or Dollars you have. Hypocrisy over new coal plantsMonthly Mean Global Surface Temperature

Bus Station Art – Spare Parts from old Buses Coro Venezuela

I’m sure that if you welded together a load of scrap iron and then painted it in the UK or some other countries and displayed it somewhere that you would get paid a fortune for what your average trainee welder probably gets paid a pittance for. Yes, I know I’m very cynical. Maybe in Coro, Venezuela where this photo "Bus Station Art", Coro, Venezuela was taken the person or persons who created this wonderful piece of work were too or maybe they were just paid for doing a decent day’s work like the rest of us. Art is for everyone isn’t it? We did think however that at the time there was very little difference between the buses running and the ones hanging on the wall. On one bus we experienced a dramatic bang from some suspension component failing. The trouble was that the used part that they replaced it with didn’t look all that different from the component being removed. But that’s how a lot of the world still works.
