It is but a few weeks before the next London marathon. We will be able to watch in their 10s of 1000s the very dedicated people of all different abilities try to get round the grueling course. Here is a photo from last year’s even with many people to be seen on each side of the road going in both directions. And the band played on. I’m hoping that with the thaw in relations between Cuba and the US that they won’t lose too much of the many good things that go with their alternative system of government. They have considering their GDP such amazing health and education systems and as in this photo a lot of natural talent in the arts. This was taken in Parque Serafin Sanchez in the Cuban city of Sancti Spiritus on a sunny Sunday morning. On one of our previous trips there was already a very low quality American film being played on the bus journey we took between two cities. This is already the case all over South America so we can only hope that Cuba pushes back a little. Copyright Junagarh Media, http://www.junagarhmedia.co.uk.
SWitzerland has a habit of doing things well and Expo 02 was certainly no exception. I was very lucky to capture this very atmospheric photograph of some of the entertainment when I was still using 35mm film before I went digital. A lot of photography is just the right place at the right time and technology is making it so much easier. So depending on the sensor or the film type used how truthful to the reality is the captured image?
