It is not often, or not where we drive anyway, that you find some graffiti on the road itself as was the case this day when we took this photograph at a road junction in Shropshire. Since we were out in the lanes and far from the nearest village or town, presumably the artist had just been driving around with a pot of paint or two and decided that here was going to be the spot. Infinity and Beyond – Heading South from Formosa in Argentina
I was just looking at the next photograph to put on our Flickr site, https://www.flickr.com/photos/21104365@N06/, and I came across this one. Is it any wonder why some of us in the past thought that the Earth was flat given what we see in this picture? Given that the only mode of transport on land until fairly recently in our history would have been on foot or by horse the world would have looked very flat to many. Good thing we have the international space station, satellites and we have been to the moon to prove otherwise. You can see and buy any of our work on our website, http://www.junagarhmedia.co.uk .
Man on a bike riding into the horizon
We have been very lucky to visit Argentina several times in the past and there are some great roads that go straight to the horizon and beyond. That’s fine when you are sitting on one of the comfortable long distance coaches that traverse the almost endless landscape. But if you are on a bicycle like this man it must seem like you are not moving or that the horizon is always moving away. Wonderful country, wonderful people.
